Does anyone know what having a purple bluish tinge to the nails mean? Also, any remedies for this?

usually a sign of poor circulation........also if you're cold, say your hands are cold, then your finger nails will be blue/purplish color. When they warm up some, it won't be so bad.

I've also heard that B12 vitamin increases blood flow, not sure.

The first thing I thought of (because I have asthma after a lung injury in a fire) is low oxygen. Do you have any respiratory problems that you know of? If you have a cold or sinus infection, you may not be breathing properly (getting the CO2 out and Oxygen in). If you have any dizziness and these symptoms are new to you, schedule an appointment w/ your dr. You may need to do something to help get your oxygen levels up. Be well!

Lack of circulation normally. If you just came from outside and it's extremely cold this will happen too. However, if you notice the nail staying blue all the time seek medical attention. You may not be getting enough oxygen or blood flow to that part of your body.

its a condtion called "blue nails" (strangely enough) your circulation is probably poor, if your hands feel cold alot of the time this is another sign. its nothing really to worry about, just try and keep that circulation going and dont go wearing any tight bracelets or watches....but go and see your gp still, maybe he could provde something to help it along. xxx
