I maintain a great life i have two kids and a boyfriend so im not psychotic i dont try to kill myself i love my life! But i feel better when im not taking my pills. I am just more irratabile! Is anyone else feeling this way? What did you do to maintain your life with no meds to become self suficent? Any ideas???

You've been dealt a mean card in life..but be thankful there are good meds. to regulate your chemistry and moods swings.. I would not stop taking your meds.. People who are bi-polar etc.. need to maintain their regume of meds to keep order in his/her life.. Nothing to be ashamed of.. I worked for a mental health facility when I was in my mid 20's. the drugs they use now are much better than 30 years ago.. Good luck.

YES, it was not smart!! You are throwing your body into considerable shock by stopping meds abruptly.

As a person with multiple diagnoses myself, I can sympathize with the desire to just "be normal" without "medication." It always made me so ANGRY! But considering your diagnoses, I'm telling you girl, it's dangerous to stop your meds.

I've struggled for years with trying meds on and off, and I finally realize that I need them if I want to function normally. There are new breakthroughs every day in psych, and maybe there are alternatives to the meds that make you feel zombie-like.

The absolute worst part of this is that your kids are innocent bystanders. You've got to take care of your mental health to teach them (cuz chances are good one or both might have the same struggles later in life). Bipolar 1, MPD, borderline: these are serious medical conditions. If you were diabetic would you refuse insulin?

Get to your doctor and work with professionals to deal with your concerns about medication. You WILL be in charge of your life when you find the right balance.

God bless!

sounds like you are a pd (personality disorder) more than anything i don't believe you would function with all three mental health issues i don't believe a man would stick around and i have two lovely boys and am 22 myself and i don't believe anyone who is not on medication with all 3 mental problems could handle the eminence and overwhelming responsibility of caring for children

all behaviours contain their opposites:
hyper inflation leads to collapse
a show of strength suggests insecurity
what goes up must come down
if you want to prosper, be generous

also:
the feminine outlast the masculine
the feminine allows, but the masculine causes
the feminine surreneders, then encompasses and wins

spirit overcomes force
the weak will undo the mighty
