Car Adapter Question?

I have a penny stuck in the cig lighter adapter, I have tried everthing to get it out! Is there a way to replace the whole adapter or take it out? It is a 2000 Jetta!!

buy a new one in a scrap yard or vw main dealer (not very expensive) and take it to a local garage or mechanic , (not a main dealer) its only a 5min job and should be very cheap.

use a pop sickle stick and some gum to remove the coin. replace fuse.

same thing happened to me, I have to use the jack in the trunk to charge my phone. good luck.
