I am looking an at home cervical traction device. I am looking for one that works well and is affordable. The ones the doc recomended are really over priced. I have seen many on Amazon but not sure how well they work or the quality. I have cervical degenerative disc disease. Traction is supposed to be good for it.

You may want to go with the more expensive one. It probably has a safety device that will prevent you from getting hung should something malfunction.

The smart play here would be to see a physical therapist. They will help you to determine if this is a good idea in the first place. I would bet that the doctor did not even apply a manual traction to your neck and ask "how's that?" (NOTE: if that hurts, mechanical traction is probably not for you!)

Also, there may be other treatment options available to you that a PT could help you to explore.
Go to APTA.org, click on "find a PT", and search your home area.

Good luck!
