"Christians, should we be celebrating the Passover?"
We do when we accept the Lamb of God as our savior. We also observe a form of Passover when we take communion. Remember, it's about trusting him.
"Do you think we should stop the pagan celebration of Easter and instead celebrate the Passover."
I think that anyone can if it's important to them. My eyes are less on the ritual, and more on Jesus.
"Jesus is our Passover. What do you think?"
Agreed. ( ;

Well Angel...
I don't consider easter to be pagan. That's the day that we set aside to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The passover celebrates the fact that God spared the Hebrew peoples' first born sons on the night before the exodus.

Stop the celebration of easter spring festival for sex worshippers.
But do remember the gift that Jesus gave to us at the time of the passover. Celebrate the laying down of his precious human life in our behalf. Not celebrateing the passover anymore but his sacrifice of his life. That should be done with a gathering of family and friends and a meal together as a family thing.
Prayer and thanking god for his gift. Maybe read about the last three days of his life. Passing the bread and wine as he said in remembrance of me. Should be a grateful time.

If you want to be technical, Passover is more Jewish than Christian. Easter has nothing to do with being a pagan holiday. While all Christian religions are based around the original pagan hollidays, it has to do with the Christ rising from the dead and ascending to heaven.

I think we should stop worrying about religious rules and instead celebrate the relationship we are supposed to have.
I celebrate both.
Why? The Passover is an intense personal experience for me and really grounds me back to my Saviour and the Jewish heritage.
I celebrate Easter because it is also a celebration of the Resurrection of my Saviour. And because my children enjoy getting dressed up in special Easter outfits, and we like to have a nice meal, and I like peeps and jellybeans!
I don't care what you say about eggs and paganism. You do what you want and I will do what I want.
Realizing that Easter can be tied to pagan rituals does not get you in to heaven any quicker than someone that loves Jesus and hides easter eggs for their kids.
If we would spend more time developing a relationship with God through His Son Jesus, instead of arguing about a bunch of silly holidays, this world would be a better (and quieter) place.

Easter is not a pagan celebration. It is the celebration of the resurrection. Some Christians have forgotten that fact. But we shouldn't just get rid of it, we should observe it properly.

I'm not a christian any longer, but I agree with you. Easter is the pagan celebration of the goddess Eostre (hence where you get the bunnies, chicks and eggs from).. Pesach (Passover) is the jewish celebration that Jesus would have been observing in his life. If you are to be followers of him, you should be following the feasts he observed.

Who cares what we call it? We're celebrating a risen Savior and new life for all of creation, no matter what name we give the day. We, as Christians, are called to bring all things together in order to glorify God. Why can't we claim the pagan tradition of Easter, a life celebration, and celebrate it as THE Life celebration?

Both are celebrating an ancient pagan observance of Spring, having originated before either the Christian or Jewish religions. It doesn't matter which one you celebrate, none of it means anything anyway, it's all mumbo jumbo. Easter is just a morph of the Springtime ritual, the Easter Egg being a symbol of renewal as is the resurrection, both being forshadowed for instance, by the ancient Etruscans who also used the egg as a symbol of renewal. Do some REAL research and you learn alot about religions.

how can you call yourself a Christian and not know The Truth of Easter...there is no pagan connection to the remembrance of Christs Sacrifice and Resurrection and Ascension... but ... yes... the celebration of Passover should be included... it is a part of the history of The Christian as well as The Jew.
