My dog [Akita, Pure Blood, Alpha Male] uses his paws alot, jumps on people and his nails hurt alot. and once, this cat wanted to fight with him, so my dog didnt really care, he was just staring at the cat like it was just another person, because my pup is friendly he doesn't attack for fun. So he wanted to play and then the cat scratched his face, so instead of barking, or trying to bite the cat, he just used his paw and smashed the cats head on the ground, like if he wanted to kill a fly...and the thing is, lets say I throw a bone at him, like a big one, instead of trying to catch it with his mouth, he first jumps or tries to catch the bone with his paws and then he bites.

you REALLY need to NOT let him jump on people!!! I own a akita, hes still only 8 months old, and has never EVER jumped on people. From the day we got him, we have treated him as if he was a full grown adult. stop this now before it gets worse. iut doesn't matter if hes an alpha, whatever... stop it NOW before he does it to a child and seriously injures said child. Also, he will be around 125 lbs... too big to be jumping on people.

but yes, when he does play, he uses his paw to smush things. He also knows how to throw his own tennis balls, which is quite funny!

ya, it's normal. i have a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, and he licks his paws, then cleans his face like a cat! Trying to catch the bone with his paws is a sign of an intelligent dog that is trying to think of funner ways to do normal stuff. this could mean he is bored, and in a big, intelligent dog, this can be dangerous. i heard of one dog that started biting peoples butts for fun.Get the point? pushing the cats head down is a sign of dominance; completley normal in an alpha dog.

Nope, under no circumstances heard of this in the Akita breed. by using fact they are working canines, some canines do distinctive behaviors whilst they are bored or disturbing. some canines lick their paws alot and actually get "lick granulomas" - style of a warm spot. verify your dogs and make confident she does not have any purple spots or spots dropping fur or fleas. different than that, i do no longer think of it is something to difficulty approximately.

sure, even my rott/hound/lab plays like that! it's very funny, when they do it for play!
get some training about the aggressive jumping/stomping though! that may end up becoming not so funny when he gets bigger or more protective.
