Money is not the root of all evil. An object in and of itself canot be good or evil. The LOVE OF money is the root of evil.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

On the dollar, that is money, it says "In God We Trust." The root of all evil is the love of money - greed. Seems like this same misquote is posted every day and corrected everyday.

The proper quotation of 1 Tim 6:10 is "The LOVE of money is A root of all kinds of evil." LOVE of money is A root, not THE root. Moeny of itself is not evil nor is it the source of all evil.

Humans are the source of good or evil. Therfore thier desire for money is the root of all evil, not money itself. Object are not good or bad they just are.
In God We Trust in on money to remind us that there are things more important than money. Something many in our materialistic culture do not realize.

A bit of confusion here: You appear to be operating on the assumption that "money is the root of all evil." The original statement was "Radix malorum cupiditas est, " or "The love of money is the root of evil."
So, it's not money itself that is evil, just an extreme desire for it.

That's a funny question, but I agree with Nancy Kay, money isn't evil itself. It's what we do for and with it. Giving money to the poor isn't evil.
