dont have high expectations of yourself or your children, you will avoid dissapiontment also your children will not resent you. obviously you have to set your own boundries, but you have to stick with them, dont keep changing them, either way life is never going to be perfect, accept this and try to enjoy the things that are going well in your life . good luck.

what is a big disappointment? Do not have any expecttions then you will have no disappointments. (But then your life will also have no challenges and will become very boring.) Learn to deal with your emotuons as an adult not as a child. You are in control of your own emotions, no one else is so take control of them instead of(as i suspect) letting them control you.

You need to change your attitude about these things. Don't expect perfection from anything, and most of all, try to look at the humorous side of the things that bother you. Just as your negative attitude is a bad habit, habits can be changed.

Set rules. Then reward or punish them!
