Questioning things and breaking away from mindless conformity has always been a sign of intelligence.
An IQ test is going to test logical, reflective reasoning abilities and people that are not religious tend to be better in this area.
Not that you can't be religious and be logical at the same time, but I havn't seen or met any fanatics who are even the slightest bit bright. They're all idiots. And if they arn't they break free from these religions once they're teens.

Catholics and people who attend Catholic faculties score larger on SAT's, Catholic faculties have extra desirable training than public faculties. Now as fare as IQ you have to be seen a genius yet except you have been given stable training in the actual international it would not even count what your IQ is, actually there has been a learn achieved which proves that even your SAT's scores do no longer even count, what it comes all the way down to into being excepted right into a solid college or college is the money.

There may be some truth to that to a certain extent. Atheists spend much of their time going to college, which in some ways contributes to Atheism due to the courses taught, philosophy, evolution. They are more interested in worldly pursuits.
Whereas, many Christians put spiritual pursuits first, that do not require extensive college education, but a study of the bible.
However, there are many intelligent people both Christian and Atheist. I've done an IQ test and rated way above average. I'm Christian and never went to college. I think it has to do with common sense, reading comprehension and reasoning ability.
But honestly, who cares how smart you are...... as the bible says "I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to babes" Matt. 11:25

Religious people are followers by definition. Someone else does their thinking for them. Whether it is a current cult leader or someone from years ago who wrote something in a book. Most atheists are atheists because they have applied logic and reason to their beliefs.
Do you have any evidence to support your claim that atheists generally score higher on IQ tests? I am not so sure you are telling the truth, no offense.

IQ tests are culturally biased for a start. And what's your source for this?
One possible reason may be Atheists have a more scientific/analytical disposition that allows them to handle the tests better. Note IQ tests do not test creativity, imagination or social skills, many things which can make up a well rounded or intelligent person.
An Atheist.

Because you make up statistics and then call US stupid.
It's ironic.
"Do some research?" Doesn't work like that. Like you atheists are so fond of saying, the burden of proof is on the claimant.
Let's see some of these scientific studies. Since they're so numerous, you shouldn't have any trouble producing a handful conducted by different teams with different sample populations.
And since you're so scientifically-minded, I'm sure you're aware that correllation does not imply causation. So WHY you're presenting this info as a relevant argument is simply beyond me.

Thats funny. I seen various scientific studies that reverse your claim. Atheists or whoever, all have their agendas and will always be the chief drive in the direction their studies will go.
Atheists for example will make sure (be it unconscious or conscious effort) will arrange their studies so that invariably it supports their side, in one way or another.

While aggregate data suggests this is true, any individual atheist can be dumber than any individual Christian, and vice versa. It does not logically follow that if someone is a Christian, they have a low IQ, nor that an atheist by definition would have a high IQ.
