Your refund may have been processed at the Fresno Tax center. Tax returns are processed at several locations across the country. Were you expecting a refund of $324? If so, then Fresno handled your return, and they sent you that check.

If you filed electronically, it is not uncommon for your return to be processed a few time zones away. Even though there are Electronic filing centers in Andover MD and Philadelphia PA, it can still be sent to the other coast.

Do you live or work in Fresno? If so, some cities have their own municipal income tax, and you may be getting a refund on that.
