oh yes they can...a friend of mine son was 13 at the time,he would actually urinate on himself because he did not want to leave the game. if she did not make him get off he would stay on. at one time he started playing at 2p.m.,did not get off the game until 6:15a.m. I believe that is considered an addiction.

Absolutely. At one point or another, I've been addicted to 3 different video games (not at the same time): Including diablo 2, ffxi, and poker.

If you're not able to balance other things in your life like family, school, friends, or work - then you need to adjust something.

Usually, I would just play on the weekends if I was feeling like I was going overboard with any game.

hi, i'm like this too. i do no longer study boards anymore nonetheless because it relatively is purely full of ineffective arguments and no help to everyone. I purely see it as a activity. human beings decide to play guitar for 8 hrs an afternoon, yet considering its "cool" with the little ones to play guitar no one will make exciting of them. enjoying video games for that quantity of time interior the top has the comparable purpose that's entertainment. you purely ought to have your priorities on the instant guy. in the experience that your chum needs to do some thing with you do no longer lie so which you would be able to play. i take advantage of to have this difficulty. Are your grades protecting up? if so activity on my buddy. If no longer you need to possibly decrease lower back. it relatively is relatively useful to get your mothers and dads to assist out, yet while they are no longer effectual like mine you're on your person. Lock up all your stuff someplace or bypass to the severe and sell it in case you think of you're addicted. watching movies and comments on the information superhighway does not advise you're addicted even though. many human beings spend their days whining approximately existence and how bored they're. for persons such as you and that i, we've a activity. Gaming is certaintly a exciting activity and positively has been shown to develop your hand eye coordination and logical questioning. So the nice and comfortable button is that in case you have study to right here you're in basic terms addicted if it interferes with your actual existence responsibilities. while you're via your self and all your artwork is performed, activity on my buddy. have exciting with GTA IV i understand i visit!

You only become addicted to it if you let it take over your life. If you simply use it as a temporary diversion, there's no harm, but if you start neglecting the people in your life and other responsibilities, it can indicate a problem.

Yes. It's that simple.
There are many & varied addictions.
Addictions in any shape or form are not good thing.
All 'Addictions' cause problems.
The thing that is not so simple is that you are probably going to find out by the school of hard knocks that you'll eventually Have to do something about it.
But your not ready to give up yet, your just recognising it.
But do nip it in the bud as soon as you see anything in your life being affected or neglected because of it ..please!

I know first hand that it's very possible. My ex boyfriend chose Word of Warcraft over me!! This game has reuined my life, my family and the relationship I had with my partner. I agree that playing in moderation is the key. But i've saw and read that this game is so addictive, it is impossible to play in moderation (in so I've learned). I had enough. Told him it was me or "world of warcraft". He chose World of Warcraft!

That should answer your question.
