is she dead set on going blonde? because i have a friend with strawberry blonde hair who goes darker. she uses a home colouring kit and it covers it very well. but if she is dead set on blonde then bleach is the only thing that will work as you'll need to take the colour out, rather than try and cover it.

Colour will not lift colour. So, if he puts another colour on it, it will not do a thing! What she can do is put bleach foils all through out, and maybe ask him to slice it on top. That way it will get alot blonder! And the colour that she has on now will look very nice, make it appear a totally different colour! She will love it!

I am strawberry blonde and I always dye it darker - usually a deep burgundy and even purple a couple of times -depends on my mood at the time really. I wouldn't dream of making it lighter because of the gingery tendency.

i am a hairdresser and i have naturally red hair i use an all over tin on it to make it blonde, i use loreal high lift colour equal amounts of 901s and 911 with 40 vol, for 50 mins or wella special blondes 12.89 with 40 vol for 50 mins. i then use an ash toner for ten mins. if yopu give these numbers to the stylist he may know them! hope it helps!!!

The thing to do is... go to a local store ask someone that you think no"s about hair and say what do recommend for me and then do the one you think is good for you type of hair that is personally what i would do.

color makes color go darker, so if she just had it done with color and gets it done again with color it will be darker.
bleach is the only thing that removes color.

i would accentuate what nature gave me and go with a deeper, richer red with auburn hilites.

reds are the hardest colors to color and not look RED so go with it.
