It all depends on a doctor. If you've already been to the doctor with a bladder infection before, then s/he'll probably call. Some doctors want you to come in to make sure it's not a kidney infection. The thing about going to the doctor for a bladder infection is that you don't have to do anything except pee in a cup. Then a few minutes later a doctor will tell you if you have uti (urinary tract infection) or not. There are no other tests or exams. Good Luck!
For a quick solution, go to the store and get Uristat (or generic) - it's the same thing that you get from a doctor (in addition to antibiotics) and it will numb your bladder and take the urge (to pee) away. Be aware, though, it will turn your urine bright orange!!!

It is unlikely that your doctor will call in a prescription for you just on your diagnosis of a bladder infection. It could be a urinary tract infection, which is not the same. It could be several other things, and today's doctors are not prone to guessing over the phone. My doctor has known me for nearly 20 years, and she wouldn't call in a prescription for anything without seeing me first.

There is an over the counter medication now for bladder infections if you're sure that's what you have. I have forgotton the name, but it's in a purple box. You should be able to find it at any type of store. It works really well.

Your physique has replaced over the two years you have been off the pill and there have been new drugs further to the marketplace that is extra efficient than the only you have been taking. Your suited wager is to make an appointment with your physician and get evaluated. issues might have replaced (consisting of taking different meds for different issues, a metamorphosis in eating regimen, different actual situations) that could impact your beginning administration, so do no longer in easy terms anticipate you could pop decrease back into the previous prescription. solid success.

He can call it in. He would need to know you, your symptoms, your allergies, and if you had had a bladder infection before. If he does not know all of that, it is unlikely.

A GOOD Doctor won't call in a prescription for anything that he/she
hasn't personally judged to be the problem. After he/she as once
issued a prescription, they may call in to approve a refill.

If he's treated you for bladder infection before, and knows you know the symptoms, he might. If he's never seen you for that condition, then no ethical doctor will prescribe anything for you.

unless he is sure you have a bladder infection and knows what organism is causing it you need a doctor's visit.
Get over your fear of doctors, someday it could kill you if you delay treatment because of it

They will call it in if your prescription has expired. But I don't think they will if they've never prescribed it for you for that purpose before.
