If you believe in reincarnation and accept most accounts of it, people can return as different genders.
When we get married, we don't commit for all eternity, but "until death do us part." Why not promise forever, unless there is something on a spiritual level that tells us we cannot be with someone forever (some of us don't even make it until the end).
What would be the point in a gendered spirit? We are male and female because this is how animals reproduce. Unless spirits could reproduce, then would be the point of having male and female spirits?

The soul realm is the Mind, the Character, the Will, and the intellect. It is created either by outward influences, through the flesh, or it is a reflection of God from the inside. If you are reflecting God from the inside and you are in a man's body, for example. Do you think that God would cause you to have the mind intellect character and will of another sex? What would be the point of that? what ever influences the creation of your soul is what you are. It is suppose to be brand new each day by the renewing of your mind. Renew means brand New, it does not mean that you get to keep anything. God already knows all of your needs so He will not author confusion in the camp. Let God reflect who you are and you will see the TRUTH.

No, I don't believe a soul has a gender.
Your soul is made up of your characteristics, which are gender dominant, but the soul in and itself is not either male or female.

How about that song; Jesus is a soul man? The soul and/or spirit do not have a male or female sex. They are totally sexual. Neutral.

Yes. The soul is the intermediate entity which is the merger of the spirit and the body. Therefore, there are male and female souls.

No, the angels were spoken of as sons of God but actually they are neither sex because they do not have a flesh and blood body.
But a spirit body. God made us this way so we could reproduce.
We have the ability of making more copies of ourselves.
What will heaven be like, what will we do?
(Luke 20:27-35) 27 However, some of the Sadducees, those who say there is no resurrection, came up and questioned him, 28 saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote us, ‘If a man’s brother dies having a wife, but this one remained childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up offspring from her for his brother.’ 29 Accordingly there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless. 30 So the second, 31 and the third took her. Likewise even the seven: they did not leave children behind, but died off. 32 Lastly, the woman also died. 33 Consequently, in the resurrection, of which one of them does she become [the] wife? For the seven got her as wife.” 34 Jesus said to them: “The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
(1 Corinthians 15:50) 50 However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
(1 Corinthians 15:40-41) . . .heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort. 41 . . .
(1 Corinthians 15:35) . . .: “How are the dead to be raised up? Yes, with what sort of body are they coming?”
(Revelation 5:9-10) . . .blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
If they are going to rule over the earth they have to have someone to rule over. And on the paradise earth during the resurrection we will be male and female.
Populateing the earth as Adam and Eve was supose to.

Jesus; said when the unclean spirit goes out of a man it wonders in dry places seeking rest and findeth none, and it will say I will go back to my house from which I came out, but with him he must take 7 other spirits more wicked then himself, but when they get there they find that the house has been
swept emptied and garnished
For in the resurrection they neither marry or are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
God created man is his own image (spirit) in the image of God he created he him, male and female he created he them. (then flesh)
