Even those who claim to be Christians worship their own genitals more regularly and with more devotion than they worship Christ.

Asherah poles, child sacrifice.... it's a familiar historical pattern. The big powers have always ended up there, and then crashed over the cliff to their demise. We worship sex and sacrifice our children to it (abortions) just like those ancient societies did. Rome fell because it corrupted from within. Arrogant Americans think it won't happen to us.

Wow, that's a big paintbrush you're painting us with.
I think the only Americans who MIGHT make sex an idol are the ones somehow exposed (or "posed") by the media...

I wouldn't know about ALL Christians, since, in my corner of the world, I know precious few. You couldn't know about ALL Christians, because I'm willing to bet money that even YOU don't know anywhere close to even MOST Christians.

Now, I will answer for the "some" Christians who might fit your category... Being a Christian does NOT mean being sinless... it means being forgiven for the sins we acknowledge that we have... Christians are not saved by what they do and don't, but by what Jesus Christ DID.

I am a Christian and I DON'T worship my genitals, I can assure you.

My grandmother used to say that people who make absurd assertions, make those assertions only because they are guilty of the very acts they are accusing others of... I think that may apply here with you.

Worship - the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity.

1 - Exactly how much (expressed as best you can in terms of fervency and frequency) worship of Christ should the average Christian indulge in? How much is sufficient to satisfy you? Or the Lord?

2 - I love my wife and I cherish the physical pleasure that we share with one another, but on what basis do you presume to label it "worship," and - in your opinion - what should be the acceptable "limits" for the experience of physical pleasures between a man and wife?

It would certainly appear that the owner of the "problem" in this instance is you; not the Christians or Americans to which you refer...

I don't worship my genitals. I don't pray to them. But I do enjoy using them, as I enjoy running, playing catch, eating a good meal, and many other things God gave me an ability to enjoy with my body. I don't apologize for that.

Although America is not the only country that does this, I think that it's because Americans are more free to express their desires.

Any sin can be overcome. Christians are not immune to sin, but they grow more immune to it, when they stop practicing it.

With a body like mine, who wouldn't want to worship me. ;-) I'm sorry, your question made me laugh.

People do not worship their genitals in the way you are trying to imply: sex is fun that's why people have it.

i agree. i think that we are a sensual society and that is why we do not value the severely disabled & mock those who seem to have a passion for anything other that physical pleasure.
