ok, I teach English to adult learners.... i really like one of my students, he is overcute. what can I do? how do I let him know? it's not exactly something you can say in class, right? any ideas?

As long as he is a student (regardless of the fact you are both adults), your best bet is to not pursue it.

Emotions should be left outside the classroom. Even if you allude to an attraction on your part you’re crossing a line. Teachers need to show a level of professionalism to their students to maintain mutual respect. If I were you, I would put my attraction aside and just teach. After your coursework is complete and if HE initiates a relationship then I might engage. If you are the initiator you may be putting both of you in an uncomfortable situation of which you will regret.

You met him from him being in your class...as your student...think of the ethical aspect of this regardless of the fact that you're both adults. There are enough "overcute" guys out there for you to be attracted to without overstepping those boundaries.

Just don't. Teacher-student relationships will only get him kicked out and you fired. If you run into him a year after he's finished the program, that's possible then.

you have no right to be hitting on your vulnerable students. Back off and respect him, he's more than just a body - he's got a brain that wants to learn English and you're going to mess with his head space because he turns you on? Shame on you!!!

Don't do it in class or even at school. I would wait until he finishes your class and then tell him how you feel. Good luck!
