In answer to the question "would I suffer for others"....of course. I think almost everyone would. Are you telling me that if you had a chance to suffer for one day, be dead for 3 days, and you could "redeem" people (whatever that means to you), that you wouldn't do it?
Of course you would.

You cannot say you would go through the things that Jesus did without thinking about it. Remeber, Peter said he'd follow Jesus, but when he saw what was happening to Jesus, it was enough to make Peter deny him 3 times straight.
Jesus was more than beaten for a day. He was tortured and lied on, and then he bared the sins of all men (past present and future) without man's consent (because he simply loved the creation of God). People wanted him to die from the day he was born (King Herod). You honor is appreciated, but don't sit and think for 1 sec you could go through the things that Christ went through.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He laid down His life, when He was totally innocent and without
our sinful nature, to suffer and die in our place, taking ALL of our sins and our hopeless state of sinfulness, upon Himself to redeem us from satan's control and to defeat the power of sin and death for EACH and EVERY one of us....and He faced the
judgement of His Father for OUR sins!!!
God the Father and God the Son were totally separated from one
another for the first and only time in all of eternity past and future, which is something that man cannot BEGIN to imagine, but God it
FOR YOU and He did it FOR ME....And for every single person who will EVER be born into this world.
II Cor. 5:21 - FOR HE MADE HIM TO KNOW KNEW NO SIN TO BE SIN FOR US THAT WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUS-NESS OF GOD IN HIM.
Jesus gave His life as a RANSOM for us!!!
We were ALL under the control and power of satan because of Adam's disobedience and BETRAYAL in the GARDEN OF EDEN,
which would be where modern day Iraq is right now -- and by him,
we were ALL condemned to a hopeless eternity in hell with satan.
The fact that the Son of God was willing to leave Heaven and come down here and live as one of us, being born of a virgin, out-side the Fall of man, and die in OUR place is the greatest sacri-fice that has or will EVER take place.
Read Romans, chapt. 5.
Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.
God knew what was going to happen with Adam, but He was ready with the Rescue Plan....and He told satan, the serpent, that
the seed of the woman would BRUISE HIS HEAD and that is ex-actly what happened at the cross and when God raised His Son from the death, showing His total acceptance and satisfaction with that sacrifice of His Son...and all who believe on Him and put
their total trust in Him (Y'shua) will be saved and made the right-eousness of God.
Jesus did not come here just to start a "new" religion for man or to give us 2 more "holidays" on the calendar....
Romans 10:9,10.
For anyone reading this who would like to know Jesus as their personal Savior, please call 1-800-759-0700 -- 700 CLUB -- so
you can talk to someone who can answer any questions you have and pray with you...
John 8;24 - John 5:24 - Acts 4:12 - John 3:36 - John 14:6;
Hebrews 9:22 - Lev. 17:11 - Ex. 12:13.
It is only THROUGH His BLOOD that we have redemption and forgiveness of sin.
This is not just some "empty" religious doctrine or whatever.
It is the most REAL and most PRECIOUS gift of Love that sinful mankind can ever hope to receive in ALL of eternity!!!!

It was a sacrafice of God of Himself as Son, if that answers your question. As for being dead for three days, I wonder what you'd do. Would it get boring, etc?

If Jesus really did die on the cross for our sins, who are we to render his death meaningless by not sinning?
