Try some local bars.

If you are in your twenties, there seem to be great bunches of them going to the bars on Third Ave. between 38th and 23rd.

Also, the Meatpacking district. Chelsea would be better if you were trying to meet guys.

Try central park, the men's department at Bloomingdales, wandering around Barney's. Actually going to Museums work at times.
There always seems to be a big bar scene at Rosa Mexicana at 62nd on the West Side.
Probably bars in the new hip Chelsea area would work.
