Would you feel any different if you got caught? What if you were smoking dope and you didn't inhale could you still go to jail? You need to ask yourself question like how would you feel if you caught your daughter of mother or father doing the same thing. How would it make you feel? I am pretty sure God's standard for judgement is similar to yours. "Forgive us our tresspasses, AS WE FORGIVE OTHERS." Hum!

If you want a biblical answer, then no masturbation is not necessarily a sin. The Bible does not specifically speak against masturbation.

if your masturbating you must be thinking impure thought and that makes it a sin...if you stroke it to make it go down without impure thoughts that is not a sin.
Basically there has to be some kind of lustful thought behind your actions to be a sin.
