for the same reason you are asking about ours. women can have a guy anytime they want. Guys have to work harder for it so we wonder how many different guys she has had.
I think it would be fun to meet someone who would admit to sleeping with over 100 different guys. but I don't think any woman would admit to it, even if it were true.

A tough question to answer. If they're looking for sex they want to know if the girl will be easy. If they're looking for love I think it's better to leave the past in the past. What happened before stays before. How about knowing about a guys past? If the guy asks you about your past he doesn't want to hear about everybody you may have had sex with but he is willing to brag to you about how many girls he's had.

I know! There is one thing I can never mention around my husband, it is past relationships. He gets bent out of shape. Sometimes I may want to say something about someone I used to date, but have to stop myself so he won't have a conniption. I think it is unfair too, it is like I totally have to forget about certain parts of my life even though they are important to who I am. I always feel like he judges me for having been with other men, but in reality how was I supposed to know they wouldn't be who I would end up with in my future. I wasn't just gonna sit around waiting. Had I done that, him and I never would have ended up together. This issue bothers me a lot.

I think that only insecure men are concerned with a girls past. I personally don't have a "double-standard" concerning women and men's pasts.

It helps me to understand about who she is. I am who I am because of my past. I have no regrets for anything in the past because I'm happy with myself now.
By knowing something about her past I can know her present.
You can't really love someone without knowing them.

if he is pushing to know about your past then start asking about his.
but this day and age it is alot to do with safety knowing where your loved one has been and with who.
