Yes.

Some people experience the same release of dopamine, the brain's chemical responsible for pleasure, as drug addicts.

Foods with a high concentration of fat and/or carbohydrates will cause the brain to release a bigger quantity of dopamine.

People overeat to set off this pleasure zone. Overeaters are essentially doing the same thing that heroin users do.

And it will require more and more food to set off an equal amount of dopamine as time goes on, causing people to eat larger quantities to get the desired effects.

Large fast food chains understand these principals and make sure their food contains a lot of fat and carbohydrates to keep people coming back time and again.

I don't know if it would be an addiction so much as a habit. However, it can be cured. Read Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation."

I think there is. There was a study done with rats and they gave them a really fatty diet, the rats became addicted. So any food that is high in fat I think can be addictive.

Apart from that they taste so good!
