I'd be more impressed with men not trying to impose their taste onto me, I've had tons of arguments started by men where they tried to force me to agree that whatever currently popular group at the time (e.g. Oasis, Nirvana, Radiohead) was the best group ever. It's more important that you both appreciate that one another has their own distinct taste, rather than try to bore/impress/annoy someone else talking about your favourite music.

Not neccesarily. some girls might and some won't. I won't be tho. It's a personal taste. I would be more impressed in something else other than that.
