FIRST CONGRADULATIONS!
Your visa question has been pretty much answered so I am going to offer some un-solicited advise.
Be PREPARED for your husband to be deployed and to be gone for long periods.
Find a support group that does NOT involve the "O" Club, write letters, email and unconditionally support your husband. Do NOT ask questions that he cannot answer and hold your LOVE STRONG!
I married between tours, we had two children, it lasted 9 years and was a DISASTER! I married her, took her away from her hometown friends and family and went on an emergency tour. She got lonely, had the WRONG support group and made some bad decisions.
Please establish a support group or start the process with email etc. I am sure that the XO will help.
I was in an UGLY situation when my wife started sending mail that threated suicide and I went to the XO. I was told, "If they Navy wanted you to have a wife, you would have been issued one in your seabag and the base chaplin will deal with it, DISMISSED"!
Times have changed and the Navy is much gentler, but BE PREPARED because it will be DIFFICULT.

Just because he is in the military will not speed things up with your visa, you will have to wait the time that everyone else has to wait. I understand having a hard time apart, but you are marrying a navy officer, which means he is probably on a ship so be ready to be without him for 7-9 months a year, and if he gets deployed then that is a year or longer. My husband is deployed I know what it is like being apart but remember you are choosing to marry this man, therefore you are choosing to have nights alone.

Same time as every one else unfortunately...they do not give any special preference to the military...about 3 to 6 months...but since you are a British Citizen you can come over, since we do not require to have a Visa, and get married and then file your paper work...so you do not need a Fiance Visa

If he is going to be out all the time- why not stay there anyway where all of your family and friends are? Just wondering... same answer though as all above....
from one military wife to a "soon to be one" good luck- and yes- you will miss him more- he will have a blast when he gets time off. =-) AND you should be HAPPY he can enjoy and fun he has! ::Proud military wife of hubby who served in Iraq::

You are having a hard time apart.
He is having a great time (his letters or phone calls will say the opposite)
Why not contact the US Embassy in London & they will advise you of the fastest route to get him here for you & the shortest time for his continuing enjoyment

the military cannot intercede on your behalf.. it will take as long as it takes. Make sure she has all her paperwork done.. she could lose her clearance if she marries you without it.
