Here's a question. Did you find Jesus teachings in the Bible(Christians teaching) or in the Qu'ran(Islams teaching)?

In Islam, it works like this. For each revelation to each prophet, it is assigned to their people in their time only but for Muhammad, the last prophet, the Seal of Prophets, the teaching of Islam is to all of mankind and humanity.

You're like asking us to solve 1+1....without using mathematics.

It really has nothing to do with it. The prophet Muhammad used military for self defense because there was a lot of persecution in those days of Muslim. Probably it must been a different circumstance in those days for Jesus. Situations change in different days.

If your logic is true.. Where did Moses stand and what about laws of war in Torah. Why did Jesus insisted on following law of Torah. Get the point. different prophet have different roles. That doesn't mean they are not from same God. Many biblical prophet fought war.

Muhammad was sent for all mankind

Jesus was sent specifically for the Jews and therefore did not have a destiny to fulfil in terms of trying to bring the faith to everyone.

On another note, Muhammad, may Gods greetings be on him, did not resort to self defense until the amount of cruelty the disbelievers had done, were too cruel to bare.

The disbelieving tribes of arabia openly waged war on the believing muslims, hurting them wherever they found them, treating them with utmost cruelty.

The war for self defense was not prophets alone, it was for his people. Because he was a member of the strongest tribe in all of arabia, his disbelieving relatives, would never touch him per se.

They just tortured the people who believed in him.

Then an order came from God, to get up and fight for their rights even tho their enemies numbers were many.

Since a man who sits and watches a crime take place, is almost always no different than the man who does the crime.

Look now ....why do courts punish ppl ? to stop them from harming other ppl. Th whole world is not good. period. So if the wrong doers and innocent ppl killers are not stoped they would take over the world and then no one would live in peace .

Its common sense..U need to really dig up a good source for Islamic teachings and then make research..We Muslims are not forced by Allah to make the whole world follow Islam. Its for ppls own good. Our duty is to be kind to ppl and try to explain with soft words and not harsh and if God wills other person will get to the truth Islam and if he doesnt the person will remain ignorent.

Why are you trying to provoke a religious conflict between Christians and Muslims? Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Which prince are you following when you do that?

Jesus did use force, they just don't tell you that. Think about it, when he overturned the money-changing tables do you think the bankers just stood and watched, Hell no! There was a massive brawl, and Jesus had a mean right hook, he handed those guys thier asses.

I was expecting this question to be bashing non-christians. Which completely pisses me off, although im christian. But thank you for being respectful, and you have a really good, educated point, that I haven't thought of before. I wouldn like to know the answer too, very good point.

the unbelievers attacked him so he was forced to use military force for self-defense.

Islam, a religion of mercy, does not permit terrorism. In the Quran, God has said:
God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (Quran, 60:8)

The Prophet Muhammad used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children,1 and he would advise them: {...Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child.}2 And he also said: {Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of forty years.}3

Muhanmad (pbuh) was sent for all man kind but Jesus (pbuh) was sent only for Jews
"We have not sent you (O Muhammad) but as a universal (Messenger) to men giving them glad tidings and warning them (against sin) but most men understand not." (Qurân 34: 28)

It is He (Allah) Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth that he may proclaim it over all religion even though the Pagans may detest (it)." (Qurân 61: 9)

The great messenger of God, Jesus, says: "And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." John 17:3

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Do not over-praise me as the Christians over-praised Jesus the son of Mary. I am His slave, so say: 'God's slave and messenger'." Narrated by both Al-Bukhari and Muslim

As Muslims we have no choice. We had said in many words:

" WE BELIEVE IN ONE CREATOR, WE BELIEVE IN ALL HIS PROPHETS, WE BELIEVE, THAT JESUS (peace be upon him) WAS ONE OF THE MIGHTIEST PROPHETS OF GOD, THAT HE WAS THE MESSIAH AS WELL AS THE WORD OF GOD, THAT HE WAS BORN MIRACULOUSLY- WITHOUT ANY MALE INTERVENTION (which many modern-day Christians do not believe today) , THAT HE GAVE LIFE TO THE DEAD BY GOD’S PERMISSION, AND THAT HE HEALED THOSE BORN BLIND AND THE LEPERS BY GOD’S PERMISSION."

Jesus was the prophet of God and you claim that he is the God him self anyway do you really think that the people who claim to be his followers do follow his teaches? do you really think that they do not use military force? then what the hell is happening in the world by the American forces, Iraq, Afghanistan...etc ????

Right on Bert!!! As far as I can tell, the promise of hell to anyone that doesn't live according to "his will" is pretty violent. Hell does not strike me as being a comfortable place with the eternal flames and all.
