Just which Theory of Evolution ??? Darwin who wrote the Theory never claimed that we ever came from monkeys. That idea has been going around ever since the book was written.
People should learn to read what books say, not what comes to their minds before fully understanding the whole thing.
Darwin claimed that we came from lower forms that at one time may have been ape-like. Intelligent people will understand the word "ape-like". Stupid people only see the word "ape".

Evolution does NOT claim that men came from monkeys. Go back to school and learn some facts.

So if we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Shouldn't they have evolved into some other form of civilization, I mean beyond laying around in trees and picking lice out of each other's coats. Even the Cro-Magnon man left evidence of some sort of organized religious belief.

Dont know if any theory-of-evolution says we come from monkeys(i think Darwin and therefore darwinism does);
Not having any of his few books to hand, we could suppose
he would say that only the (best)"higher" monkeys could learn
to read and write;therefore there would not only be fewer of them
but having these extraordinary skill(s), they would likely be in
important positions-of-power(!).
Notwithstanding our so-called
important leaders, im not so sure that such important monkeys
would see yahoo Answers as their true calling;and honor us wid
their presenc!

Jim, Jim... You keep posting this stupid question, which I have answered for you on at least one occasion. Darwin's theories on evolution, do not claim that man descended from monkeys. but seriously how can anyone belive the evolution theory? what's more why would you want to. It takes away everything special about the human race and makes us just another lucky dumb animal.
