You really can't "teach" them, but cats have a way of working things out by themselves. I have a friend who has more cats than I can remember, & is constantly taking on new ones. Some cats never learn to "like" each other, just tolerate, or hiss. But if they're truly getting into it, you might consider getting out a spray bottle of water, they hate that, & it will break them apart. It's not much different than say, you've had 2 room mates for years & a new one moves in. Adjustments have to be made. Fortunately, cats are much better at this than people! Good luck.

EDIT: I HAVE BEEN CLONED. If you get an answer from another DRAGON, that is the sicko. On one of the questions I answered, he posted to report ME & pretended to be nice.

I don't think you can really do anything. I have 6 cats and some don't like the others. I've tried playing with them, locking them in a room together, and tons of other things. Hopefully the cats will realize that you aren't getting rid of 'the imposter' they will ease into a kind of truce.
I hope they end up liking each other. But keep in mind that even if your cats don't like each other you can still keep them all. Just spend an equal time with each and you should remain a happy family. Good luck!

I've tried alot of things and my four cats all hate each other. Even thought they hate each other when they are outside together they form a "clan" and defend each other. One day when my one female(spayed) Autumn messed with a cat twice her size and got chased and when the cat entered the yard after Autumn and was two feet from jumping on her, my other female Sugar(spayed) jumped between them and started hissing at the large cat. Moments later the youngest cat, a male(neautered) Forsty came from the left and was hissing at the cat who was attacking autumn. Autumn gained her courage and went to the right of the cat and was hissing and batting at it. Lastly the oldest female(spayed) Holly came from behind. The cat was surrounded by four hissing, snapping, and scratching cats for attacking one of the cats. He took off running and was chased over the fence but my cats didn't go any further. So basicly despite hating each other they defended each other and it turned out even if they acted like they wanted to kill each other(especialy the females hating the male and the male hating the females) they actualy just wanted to show who was the boss and would defend each other. They still act like they hate each other but they still defend each other. Your cats may just be showing who's the boss and have no intentions in drasticly hurting each other just putting the others in place, but if it gets to bad seperate them. I wish you the best of luck with your kitties.

You cant force them to get along, it will take time, but they will sort themselves out in their own time once they realise that this is going to be the situation.
