Or do you BELIEVE that God loves you?

And if you know, how do you know?
And if you believe, why do you believe?

Careful, pirate...I'll keelhaul you, commandeer your ship, and pilfer and plunder my way through the entire Malibu Yacht Club before breakfast. It's genetic.

Ppl think God loves them because they are afraid to go through life thinking your all alone...which you are. Its a nice crutch to help you thought the day, but you are not protected, you are not special, God does not protect you on a plane or a train or a boat or a car...you are taking the same risks everyday regardless of your superstitious belief in GOD.

Kill your GOD, free your mind.
-Amen

You want a lot for your money!! You are asking for experiences of a lifetime to be written in a few words. You must start by devouring knowledge about God wherever you can find it - in religious writings and in listening to those who have those beliefs. If you really desire knowledge, then the Spirit of God will guide you. The old adage says, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating."

About six or seven years ago, I wasn't all that religious but I didn't think there was anything wrong with people who were. There was this group of guys who kept evangelizing in my neighborhood, and they caught up to me at the same spot every day, the bus stop I would take on my way to work. I kept turning them away, and then one day, the leader of the group became enraged and they all jumped on me. They beat me black and blue, broke all of my ribs and put me into a coma for two days. The cops caught up to the guys and I healed up well enough. But the prosecutor forgot to send a piece of evidence to the defense, and the charges were dismissed. They all praised god, and didn't care about the pain they caused me. I live with the psychological scars of that moment to this day. I have nightmares, I take medication for the depression, and those fools are still out there.

God must love me to death.

One experience I have had proving that God loves me is during my baseball team High School tryouts. I decided that first day that I would give my tryouts to God. I owned. I got cocky. I went downhill. The second week I decided that there was nothing left to do but give it back. I got about twenty different friedns to pray for me and I turned it on. Later on that week the coaches told me that I hadn't looked too hopeful, but that something must have clicked because I made the team.

One experience inside that tryout:
I was batting in a scrimmage after striking out the first time and I didn't want the coaches thinking I was stupid. So I prayed and immediately 'Angels in the Outfield' came to mind. I got a pitch in my hot zone and turned on it for an RBI double.

God loves me, and I know it

You seem like the kinda of person who needs to see it to believe it. well my grandpa is like that and he would consider himself a naturalist. I don't need to see the Lord to believe in him. It's like the sun, I don't believe that there's a son because I look at it. But by it I can see everything else. I believe we each have a picture of what the lord looks like. and in the bible it actually describes him in rev. 1. It says he has white hair, bronze feet, a long robe, fire in his eyes, and a voice like waters. go onto bible gateway its fascinating.

Interesting, I'm trying to think of the distinction.

I know God loves me because, well Scripture says so. And I'm alive and stuff.

I believe it because I believe in His Son, and the sacrifice He made for me.

I know I love Him. It's not a matter of belief, but a matter of heart on my end.

I know that God loves me... because when I turned my life over to Him, I have a peace and can find joy, even in times of trouble and trial... I believe because when I sought to find the truth in the Bible, it was opened to me in new understanding and once I believed, God has shown me not only His love for me, but taught me how to love even those who are 'unlovable' by some!
