I am sure you guys have seen my posts before and if you have then I am sure you know I am head over heels in love with my bf. But there is this guy that I am on the fire department with that I have like for a long time. I still have feelings for him and I am still attracted to him. Does this mean I am not really in love with my bf.

Ok, maybe I should have made myself more clearly. THough I have these feelings for this other guy. THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD EVER CHEAT ON MY BF!!!!! I WOULDN'T TRADE HIM FOR 10 OF THIS OTHER GUY!!!!

You can be in love with someone and still be attracted to someone else. Would you actually go out with him if the opportunity came up? Or, is it just a physical attraction? If you would seriously go out with someone else then you probably are not in love. If you are on the fire dept. it sounds like you are old enough to decide for yourself and not let your mom decide.

1) I really have a hard time gauging if I'm in love or just infatuated. My best rule of thumb is if I still feel the same way in a year, then I count it as love.
2) Contrary to popular opinion, you can be in love with two people at the same time. I still love all those I fell in love with. Some I haven't seen for almost 30 years. I have a good friend who is in love with two men and a woman. She shares a house with them and considers them her spouses. Except for between the guys, they are all lovers. They have a wonderfully loving and close relationship. A closeness that many couples I know would envy. They've been together for quite some time.

No it doesn't mean you don't love your bf, a lot of people have this problem. Just because you feel an attraction toward someone else doesn't mean your not in love with him, as long as you don't pursue that attraction while dating him there's nothing wrong with it and its perfectly natural.

If you love someone, that's all you can ever think about & he's the only one you see. If you're attracted to someone else while he's with you, then it's just lust. If you don't even know whether you do love someone or not, how do you expect that someone to love you?

Being in love is not a big magic spell that makes everyone else on the planet unattractive. You WILL be attracted to others along your whole life.
It's up to you to "commit" to one of them and stick by him.

not really you could still be in love but maybe you are not ready to make a firm commitment to one person. If that is the case than be true to yourself and do what you know you should do

yes although it doesnt mean you dont care about him you are not in love with him,if you were truely in love with him you would only be interested in him there is nothing wrong with the way you feel it just isnt the love you think you have for him,not to say you dont love him but not in love there is a difference.........good luck

It sounds like a crush. However think long and hard before dating someone in that situation. If things go badly it could get very awkward.

yes it does. really in love means everyone else fails in comparison, so there is no liking, or having feelings for them.
