I have never heard of saltwater treatment, but my daughter got it in grade school 5 different times. Her doctor said that some kids have a body scent that they like so they will gravitate towards them.
I refused to use the medicines on her head after the first two applications because they are toxic and very harmful to children and I was spending a fortune.
I bought a steel lice comb, and used mayonnaise on her head. I would smother the mayo on her hair and wrap her head in plastic wrap then a towel over that and leave it for 2 or more hours. It smothers the adult lice and loosens the eggs. The comb gets them all out.
Use the comb everyday after she showers to prevent any future breakouts.
Best of luck to you.

I have never heard of this one but I know using tea tree oil and putting a shower cap on for about 1/2 hour works followed by shampooing with tea tree oil shampoo. Why not start using a shampoo with tea tree oil in it to help ward off furture infestations as lice do not like tea tree oil.
