Whenever I see something and I think 'oooh, that's a toughie', I also see loads of 'read the bible' answers. Is this an evasion of sorts or just laziness? Why answer at all if it is this kind of nonanswer?

Are they thinking to themselves "sucker'll never get through the begats"? 'Cause many of us did.

read the bible to find your answer

They say read the bible because it's the only thing they know. They would tell you to read something else if they had ever read anything else. The Bible is not a history book, science book or a fact filled book...it's non of these things.
Kill your GOD, free your mind.

It's like little kids wanting someone else to do their homework for
them.....They're not learning anything that way.

You need to read - and believe - the God's Word for yourself if you
REALLY want to know the TRUTH about whatever answer you're
seeking.

We can point the way, but you need to do YOUR part!!!

To be honest, I’ve wondered the same thing. Why bother to answer if you’re not going to answer?

Because they have been told it is there, but they don't know where because they have never read it themselves.
