I just attempted to answer a question similar to this one, & the asker had had it removed. This category is Religions (all religions) AND SPIRITUALITY. It ought to be divided since there seems to be a lot of hostility created by the lack of understanding the difference. Many Christians assume it is impossible to know anything about spirituality unless one is a Christian. It's perceived sort of like their very own "club." I don't know why they resent Atheists so much, but it really doesn't bother me. I find many interesting thoughts here & if my "spending time" upsets them, that's their problem.

Edit: JC Follower~So, as you put it, Atheists don't believe in god, religion or spirituality. Thanks so much for telling me who I am! You obviously haven't a clue.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for being so supportive of my having been cloned. I love 'ya.

The religion and spirituality boards are being used as a platform of people showing hate to religions they do not understand or they don't like. The bible thumpers will keep up their incessant hateful mean posts, which is ironic since they are not supposed to show hate and they do. This forum gets everyone's hostility towards each other raging on and on and everyone seems to enjoy it. I had this person, a Christian sending ME hate mail and threatening my pets. Now is that a way a Christian is supposed to act...NO!

Theists and atheists are a polar dyad, bound together by their very oppositeness. They will go on with the dance as long as there is breath in their bodies, each side defending its unverifiable position with inconclusive arguments. They do this because they delight in righteous indignation and because they cannot admit that, at heart, they aren't really certain at all.

1) We ask this because this is a good place to ask religious and spiritual questions. If an atheist has no belief in God, religion or spirituality...why would they answer something they one, don't believe in and two, don't anything about it...since they don't believe?

2) your guess is as good as mine... :o)

Because they seem to think that atheists have no business talking about religion, even though most atheists know a lot more about religions that most religious people.

I think theists often feel uncomfortable at having their beliefs challenged so they try and suggest that perhaps atheists have no right to be here challenging them.

It's the same reason atheists feel the need to answer "There is no God," to any question about God.
