It depends on the kind of worms. Usually, the worms people notice are tapeworms. They look like little wriggly pieces of rice and you generally find them hanging around your cat's rear end or on the outside of their feces. These worms come from eating fleas so all the cats must eat a flea for them to all have them... but if one cat has fleas, chances are the others have come into contact with them, too. There are other worms your cat can get, but indoor cats are least likely to get them. If it's not a tapeworm, take a fresh stool sample to your vet to have them check and make sure what kind of worm it is so they can give the correct dewormer (not all dewormers take care of all worms).

If they have one flea on them then they will have worms. Cats and dogs should be dewormed every 3 months or at least 6. All it takes for them to get worms again is to eat an infected flea. Alot of people never think about this but when you are a pet owner and you find one flea on your pet and your pet lives in your home it is also a good idea to get your self dewormed every year or so . I know I have never dewormed myself and doubt i ever will but humans can get worms by injesting an infected flea not as easy as your pet since we normally dont try to get fleas or scratch with our mouths but if you have pets in your home all it takes if for that one special flear to maybe jump into your drink or even plate of food while you are eating without noticing and if it gets swollowed you too could get worms. Also if you walk around barefoot where you have pets. In other words worms are really easy to get and if one has them yes they all do and even if they dont know they will . Keep a scheduled maintance going every so many months , all of them even if you dont notice that they have them. and make sure you try and keep them flea free.

Yes, more than likely. When I took in my 1 yr old last year, he had worms, while my older cat did not. I tried to prevent the transfer of worms from ne cat to the other by feeding them seperately, giving them seperate litter boxes, seeing to it that they do not bed down together, etc... all to no avail. The older cat eventualy got worms too and I had to treat them both to rid them of the parasites.

No. Only deworm the cat that has the worms. It is probably Tapeworms and they ONLY way that your cat can get them is by ingesting a flea. The dewormer for tapeworms is expensive. I would also treat your cats for fleas, getting rid of the fleas will prevent the tapeworms. Frontline is best for fleas, it has a growth inhibitor so will prevent the eggs from hatching. You will have to do some sneaking/spying to see which cat to treat. The tapeworm meds will have to be gotten from your Vet.

You answered your own question as they share the same litter box. De-worm them all and be careful if you have toddlers crawling on the floor or young children that go near these cats and suck their fingers. Thoroughly scrub the areas where the cats frequent (including counter tops) with bleach.

maybe there is a high chance fleas carry worms small prey such as mice carry worms
i suggest deworming all three or contacting your vet
see what the signs of worms are and look for that in your 2 other cats
rice segments is tapeworms which are from fleas and small prey so if your cats hunt then that might be what they have

They all could have worms or the first one just caught them and the other haven't yet, but that's unlikely. I would take them all to the vet to be checked out and dewormed. That would be the safest bet.

Yes, more than likely. De-worm them all at the same time.

Pretty much if one of your animals has worms, they all have worms.
I recommend a vet visit and deworming...
