I drink a lot of Diet Soda: maybe 3 a day. I'm an addict it seems. Is there any medical evidence or proof that Diet Sodas cause cancer or tumors?

try drinking fizzie water and fruit juice to get your soda fix some of the time..

its ok in my book to have some diet pepsi.. I reckon there are worse things to drink.. and if you could go back a few decades you would be surprised to see it was once sold as a health drink.!!!!! its probably the sweetners that cause concern... but as far as I am aware there is no conclusive proof.. and sweetners are in many products.. they also save a lot of calories being a sugar substitute..... this therefore helps prevent obesity which can be a very serious health issue.. so I guess what I am saying is... we all play a game of swings and roundabouts.. try and balance the see saw...
don't deprive yourself but try and do as I said at the start of my answer...

Aspartame is in diet sodas and aspartame is suspected to cause cancer. look for a soda that uses a different sugar substitute.
e.g diet A&W root beer uses Splenda which is a safer sugar substitute

Even better, stop drinking soda altogether. It could be just a matter of time before they find something wrong with Splenda- it's just the newest of the artificial sweeteners. Drink iced tea instead- natural & full of antioxidants that are good for you!
