The expression “shining one,” or “Lucifer,” is found in what Isaiah prophetically commanded the Israelites to pronounce as a “proverbial saying against the king of Babylon.” Thus, it is part of a saying primarily directed at the Babylonian dynasty. That the description “shining one” is given to a man and not to a spirit creature is further seen by the statement: “Down to Sheol you will be brought.” Sheol is the common grave of mankind—not a place occupied by Satan the Devil. Moreover, those seeing Lucifer brought into this condition ask: “Is this the man that was agitating the earth?” Clearly, “Lucifer” refers to a human, not to a spirit creature.—Isaiah 14:4, 15, 16.

There is no difference between the Devil and Satan. They are one and the same as Revelation 12:9 shows--"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

the devil and satan are the same. the devil is satan. satan is the devil. death is the natural process our earthly bodies go through when they tire out or get diseased or get maimed. death is not a dark soul wearing a long black cape with an axe in his 'hand.' ultimately, God decides when we die. that's why some people survive cancer against all odds, and others succumb. God is in control. when someone makes the choice to murder another, while it was their decision to do it, God had to allow it. even the devil can't do the evil he does, except that God allows it... for now. pick up the Bible. it is God's word. i think you and your little cousin would love it. start in the new testament with Jesus words in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. you learn much about demons and angels and death and God. it's amazing! also, read Ephesians chapter 6 about spiritual warfare. a great spiritual battle rages all around us, angels and demons fighting for God and satan, respectively. may God bless you with understanding.

As Lover of Bible Truth said, the "shining one" (Lucifer) is the Babylonian dynasty. The Devil is the spirit creature who rebelled against Jehovah. So, one is spirit, the other is human.
