I am 5'4 110 pounds, 20 years old. I hate hearing comments like "you are so skinny, eat something." I do eat ALOT. What foods are good to gain weight. I heard the ensure shakes are good are they? I mean I'd be happy with 10 more pounds on me.

I know its weird I want to gain weight when everyone wants to lose it. I dont like being thin, I would like to be thin, but a healthy thin. I am not anorexic but hear it constantly.

I hear that alot. Im 13 years old, 5'4'' and 100 pounds. But i dont believe people. Why the hell would you want to gain weight? People are killing themselves to lose weight but whatever. You can eat McDonalds everyday but that would be plain retarded. Uhhh. You can go to Cost Plus or some kind of world foods store. They will have these bars or types of food that will help you lose weight. They are origninally for poor, skinny, starving children but you can buy them to gain weight.

Eat only when hungry. Eat not more than three times a day unless u r diabetic. Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

Suggestions eat when you are hungry, things that are high in starch and carbs. Eat lots of cheese, crackers, peanut butter. Eat when you are hungry. Also eat a snack before you go to bed. When you are sleeping your metabolism slows done a lot so it is easier to gain weight because your body digests it all w/o your activity level being there (from walking, movings around, etc.)
But eat healthy. You don't need to worry about fat and calories right now but in the future you will. You don't want to develop bad eating habits (all junk food and fast food).
Try to eat though around 2000-2250 calories a day. (not all from junk though). Put more calories in your body then what you burn.

eat like a PIG.
and yes the ensure shakes do work
i had to drink them when i lost 20 pounds when i had pneumonia
i gained it all back in time by drinking those shakes
