We had a saftey lock, it was kind of like a hinge, that was placed on the doorframe but could be moved over to act like a dead bolt. Anyway, our Burmese got into the habit of jumping up and hitting it when she wanted to go out. So, we left one day and came back and couldn't get in because she had hit it and jammed the door.
We had to break into an upstairs window in order to get in.
Anyone with similiar experiences?

That is hilarious! No, nothing like that has ever happened to me.
But I wonder, is "L" crazy or just trying to give us a jolt? Who would want their cat to be anorexic? That is AWFUL.

No but I have gotten locked out by a monkey....he is just a little baby and when I leave he tries to open the door up....which means he hits it....I left to get the mail and he shut the door behind me....my doors automatically locks from the inside if you shut it...I had to call someone to help me...not only that I was in underwear and a tank top...I had to go to my neighbors house and ask if I could use there phone....

Yes, we had a cat that could open doors. He would climb the stairs, jump on the door knob, then twist the knob with his body. We had to lock the doors at night so he would stop sneaking into our room at night. After that though we had to deal with the constant thumping, so we just let him inside whenever.

Yes, i wouldnt give it food because i want it to become anorexic so it will be skinny and i went outside to have my dog take a crap and it jumped up and locked the dead bult!! then wen i looked @ it through the window it started laphing @ me!!
