I have been on celexa for a few months now and when i started taking the one tablet i broke out in pimples abit, now the doc had to up my dose to another 20mg few weeks ago, and for the past week i have been getting horrible breakouts! Im going to the docs tomorrow but could this be a allergic reaction to the pills?

Celexa is associated with acne in rare instances. It could do this via hormonal changes, which are a common side effect of the drug. It could definitely be an allergy, though.

talk to your doctor and a skin doctor. they could help you. i have a bit of acne. more just pimples. and i have been on celexa for very long time- yet i have never thought of them as associated.
