Dogs are great for many reasons. they can be our companions, our best friend. They can be our partners, work for or with us. They lower blood pressure and heart rate and can cause the release of serotonin. They can visit the sick and elderly and brighten their day. They can bring you up when your having a bad day. They give us unconditional love. They can be our guardians and protectors. They can be an alarms clock, a doorbell, a welcome party. Certain breeds are given bad reputations. But there are NO bad breeds. Just bad owners!

The love of a loyal companion can bring you out blackness when it seams there is nothing. You look at your furry friend and you keep going. Dogs find missing people help keep drugs off the street . Dogs are TRUSTED companions when given the chance. Remember there are no bad dogs just BAD OWNERS!!!!! I have 5 dogs and to some that sound crazy but I could not live without them!

I talk about dogs' role's in society in seminars. I include the following in my list:
Companionship. (Many people have no one but their dogs as family. Others have only their dogs nearby. Still others have family and friends but consider their dogs important parts of the families.)
Assistance. (There are many, many people who could not live independently without the help of an assistance dog. These dogs range from the traditional guide dog for the blind, to tiny dogs that help with such tasks as retrieving dropped items for people in wheel chairs and turning lights on and off. There are dogs that help people with poor balance. There are people that help people with deafness by responding to the telephone's ring or the door bell and alerting the owner.)
Search and Rescue. (Dogs play an important role in search and rescue efforts after tragedies such as hurricanes, earthquakes, etc and when people become lost. They were on the ground after 9/11 helping to location people buried in the rubble.)
Police Work. (Dogs support police officers in apprehending criminals.)
Bomb and drug detecting. (Dogs' powerful senses of smell can detect drugs and bomb materials by scent.)
Sports and exercise. (Dogs are involved in an array of sports for health and fun these days. There is agility, canine freestyle (which is dancing with dogs!), flyball, lure coursing, etc.
Entertainment. (This one is controversial, but people love to bet on racing dogs.)

Most people r not resposible pet owners and should not have dogs unless they can properly train and excercise them they should have a snake r something u dont have 2 care for alot like a fish.
