You said you broke up with him, then there must be something about him you did not like. Whatever he decides to do from here is HIS business, you should, if you like be his friend, but you must seek your own that would make you feel without a doubt how you want to feel. If you have to wait for him to decide, then it will happen over and over. Just because 2 people break up that is in itself not a negative reflection on any of them, things sometimes do not work out...
Move on as you intended...

OK,, here is the thing...my best advice to you is to totally forget about him...(not easy) but it's the best for you as a person. You deserve respect and those two are just meant for each other (jerk +*****)...you are much better then that. Think with your head woman...you feel this way now because of your pride and deep inside you feel rejected...don't worry about it...there are so many other guys out there who would love to be with you and will never do something like that...Good Luck My Friend :)

with friends like this who needs enemies.
THIS IS NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND!
you need a new boyfriend and a new friend
neither one of them seem to care much about your feelings.
The nerve of him to tell you that if it does not work out with her then you can be the second choice...
and if you were to agree to that, would you really want the 'best friend' to have that much power over your relationship...knowing that anytime she can get an ego boost by flirting with your guy.
BEST FRIENDS are supposed to know that any man that you have dated is off limits
next week, next month and next decade.
Wiht approximately 22 BILLION available men and she just has to flirt with this one.
DUMP them both and dont look back! If you can't bear the thought of dumping them both, DUMP him
since you did it once already it should not be that hard since I doubt you would want him back if he was not flirting with your so called best friend. He is probably doing that to get back at you for hurting his feelings for dumping him in the first place.
too bad your stupid so called best friend is not smart enough to realize she is being used too
Guy sounds like a jerk
seriously what did you see in him!
YOu will laugh about this and him in 5 years!
I PROMISE!

If he's telling you to wait until he figures out if likes this other girl.. the feelings aren't as mutual as you want them to be. When anyone really likes someone, whether they've broken up before or not, they won't make you wait. Especially if they know that your still interested. I would move on.. It might be hard at first, but you'll end up doing something better for yourself.
You should come first.

you should just move on. he's keeping you on the back-burner just in case things dont work out with him and the other girl. I bet when you hook up with someone else he'll be totally jelous, that's just how it is, but dont just sit around waiting for him

Why would you allow yourself to be second best? If he has told you that only if she decides she doesn't want him, then the two of you will be together......forget about him. You deserve better for yourself. You deserve someone who wants you as their first choice. Have some self respect.

You broke up with him, your loss, get over the fact that he's probably doing your best friend now, serves you right.

Let him go. He is just not that in to you. Find yourself a guy who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

DO NOT BE THE SECOND CHOICE! If he doesn't want you flat out, you don't want him. You're too good to just be wat he takes if he can't get what he really wants. Talk to your friend. Tell her she needs to tone it down before she ruins her rep. And tell the guy you are NO ONE'S leftovers.
