Hello...

You do not mention what operating system you have access to so I will assume PC/Windows

Virtualdub is a free and opensource and highly regarded program for manipulating .avi files.

You can get a copy directly from thier site or through download.com, do not get it elsewhere if you want to ensure no spyware etc.

Release build -- 1.6.17 (stable), 32-bit version

This is the current release of VirtualDub for end users, containing the executable and supporting files. Unzip the contents into a new folder and run VirtualDub.exe. (Do not run it directly from the zip file!)

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.17.zip?download
or
http://www.download.com/VirtualDub/3000-2194_4-10249735.html?tag=lst-0-1

The sourceforge download is the most up to date version of the program..

Run virtualdub and choose file->open and choose your .avi file
Go to 'Tools'->Filter choose Add and choose rotate2
Input how much you wish to rotate by
OK
Now under video choose 'Direct Stream' and under Audio choose 'Direct Stream'
Under file choose Save as .avi (give it a new name)

You're done.

I'm guessing that you should have Movie maker on your computer. (start-all programs-accessories-movie maker). Open it up, import your video, and go to the video effects. Near the bottom of the effects windows, there will be effects for rotating your video 90, 180 and 270 degrees. If one doesn't work, you can always apply two until your video is level. If you don't have movie maker, most other video editing programs will have similar effects. Hope this helps!

On a PC, Microsoft MovieMaker will work. I am assuming that you are using widows XP.

Good luck.
