mexico in january is just like an english summer. its not too hot but they still do dolphin swims. i went there 2 years ago and did it, perfect weather and the water was calm.on the upside you can also do it for free as there is a beach at the bottom of cancun called dolphin beach where 1 day a week they come to. its good if you get there on the right day. also mexico is as cheap as italy and has more culture to go and see.
as an idea they also do jungle tours there that are very good.you go on a little 2 man boat up the rivers and can see panthers and others alike.
just remember that if you go somewhere hot jan is the best time as its the same as over here.

I do not know anywhere is Uk or Italy. I swam with the dolphins in Florida..and that was nice. I went in march when it was not too hot out. We went to Discovery cove. They may have other locations other than florida. I was a great day though. You spend the entire day there. You swim with the dolphins, there is a bird aveary, and you can swim with tropical fish and much more. They also serve a HUGE buffet lunch. I think you should check them out. Hope this helps.

Hawaii has a place called Sea Life Park where you can swim with the dolphins for a very reasonable price, there is also a hotel on Oahu where you can swim with the dolphins but I'm sure you have to be a guest at the hotel. and though you may think Hawaii is hot it actually isn't it is warm yes, but not the unbearably sticky hot you feel during the warm months in the Continental US. There is a nice breeze in Hawaii.

The best place to swim with dolphins is in the middle of the Atlantic ocean (it will not be too hot, and the dolphins are in their wild state.) Pico in the Azores is the best island for whale and dolphin watching but you can still do dolphin swimming off the coast of Sao Miguel. During the summer months there is a direct flight (SATA) from Gatwick to Ponta Delgada.(about 3-4 hours)

No unfortunatelt not. Italy and the UK are not very good places to swim with dolphins. I unfortunately dont know of a location where you are sure to be able to swim with them though I have encountered them in Florida,Jamaica,Barbados and Grand Cayman and on all occasions they have approached me given me a nudge and taken me for a nice long ride...I still find that strange.

Perhaps you could go during the off season, when the temps are a little cooler.
