Its a little more expensive but the doctor thinks I should get it,anyone have experiance with this gortex stuff?

You have just broken your foot, you have to take every precaution necessary, to keep if from being either infected or in this case irritated.

I know I was in a cast for 8 months and I had a waterproof cast and it saved me a lot worry when taking showers and baths. Moisture breeds bacteria and creates other hosts of problems.

I know its a bit more, but its well worth it.

Yes, I have unfortunately broken several bones and highly recommend the waterproof version. If it accidentally becomes wet you can use a blow dryer to fix it, where as with the old plaster cast you would need to go in and have a new one put on if significant damage was done. Personally that's a cost and time savings to me. It's also more light weight, thinner and comes in cool colors. I believe these are also pluses. I pray that your foot heals quickly. Good luck.
