Because he fled across the border after he was shot!! You think it would be LEGAL for the border agents to FOLLOW him into another country? Fox would have said that the US was trying to invade Mexico or something stupid like that! It was MEXICO who was pursuing the border patrols to begin with, NOT the US until Mexico FORCED them. These men are scape goats for crap the Mexican drug dealers are doing. These men are American HEROS and should be immediately pardoned by Bush! But Bush would rather pardon Illegal alien drug dealers than the men who put their life on the line every day for this country!

The justice department lied, lied, lied and they admitted it. The stupid smuggler got back across the border, or they would have cuffed him and brought him in, shot in the as*s or not. The DOJ gave the illegal immunity which is wrong and a crime and they should loose their jobs, or be put in prison them selves. You are protecting a corrupt goverment agency and defending an illegal drug smuggler, you should be ashamed of your self. You must be a Mexican that has lived here for years illegally.

They were afraid for their safety, the drug smuggler RAN away and didn't think they hit him.
I hope you aren't one of the kooks that still believe that they were out to "shoot Mexicans" that day. The DOJ admitted that they lied when they said that about Ramos and Compeon.
