Do you think that it is possible for one to be so scared, that the physiological reaction could kill them? Let's presume there are not other exisiting medical conditions such as a bad heart.

absolutely! even if a person were in perfect physical condition, an outside stimulus could cause so much fear in that person that it could cause them to have a heart atack. Say you are afraid of heights and you go to an amusement park and get on the tallest rollercoaster in the world. If your fear of heights is so severe that you start to have a panic attack you could quite possibly cause your own death by hyperventalating or a myocardial infarction (heart attack). In fact that has happened not to long ago at some amusement park a 5 year old child actually died on a ride from a heart attack. Your mind is a very powerful thing and sometimes it can work against you to cause your own demise.

Yup. It's happened in cases where people have walked into their homes and been "surprised" by a robber. They drop dead of fear before the robber does anything.

Sad, but true....

couldn't you get scared, and have a heart attack and die from that? that would be scared to death... at least i think so
