You're a fun and interesting friend, but she's not considering your feelings. You may be headed for a heartache if you keep investing your time and thoughts (writings) in her. I think she's strictly interested in your providing her some entertainment.

She's getting to know you better before making the decision to be your girlfriend or stay friends. Since you both have great conversations, make the next topic about how much you like her interest in you and your poetry. Drop a hint like "so, you're getting to know me really well lately. I wonder what you're thinking".
I had/have a male friend who has stronger feelings for me than I'm comfortable with. I've distanced myself from him a lot. We had the best conversations, indepth, intelligent, interactive, sharing, just beautiful. I really miss them. I wish he never told me because I am just not comfortable even phoning him now because I worry that I will unintentionally lead him on.

She definitely still likes you. If she really wanted to be just friends, she would have made it so obvious, like giving you the cold shoulder or not talking to you as much. Make the next move, and ask her out. She's probably just too shy to say anything to you, with the fear that since she rejected you once, you will reject her this time if she asks you out.

Don't fall into wrong impression from her.. it might be she just enjoy your company thats all... since u did express yourself clearly then its pretty obvious that u are not the guy shes looking for.. just keep a distance but still in contact.. also make yourself clear that u are not a laughing stock..

It sounds like she is trying to explore the opportunity to take it past friends. Go take her out for some coffee, read her some of your poetry and then talk to her about what is going on. See if she is feeling you out or if she wants to take it to the next level....good luck!

my opinion if i was her and i was her i'd either be viewing you as a new platonic friend or have no intentions just meant what i said...don't read into it so far. Is the poetry about her? does she know that it is? if it is then it's different (then she might be interested same way you must be)

I know this is going to sound simple, but she likes you and she's scared. I know the feeling well, she's scared that her heart will get broken and then she finds out that there is no way you could break her heart. Just ask her about it again.

Just what she said
She likes you but does not want to be exclusive.
Continue to be her friend
things might change
p.s. write some nice poetry inspired by her
maybe that will give her the last jolt she needs!

She obviously likes you but is too shy to admit it. Keep acting as if everything's normal and she'll come around when she's ready. I wouldn't suggest playing games, but a little "hard-to-get" wouldn't hurt either.
