Anyone know of an inexpensive digital camera that can take instant back to back pictures that is not an SLR?

Just about any digitial cam and make BW and photos. In the digital world the manipulation of the photo can happen after the fact. In other words... take your photos with as much 'information' as possible (ie colors). Then when you pull the photos off you can use your photo editing software (the biggest benefit of shooting digital) and convert them to BW. The better photo editing software's conversion processes will be magnitudes better as converting to B&W over any camera's basic conversion capabilities.

For the true photographer shooting digital they will alway shoot in color and save in RAW format which insures the most information is captured. Manipulation of the photo is done later.

most digital cameras come with a multishot mode when you go to buy one just check to see if the one you want has it and i dont know what you consider expensive but you can expect to pay $199 to $350 for a good digital camera
