Make sure you drink enough water each day - 2 litres as they are made worse y dehydration. Also gently massage the area gently regularly as this brings fresh nutrients and oxygen to the area.
Also try not to use lots of different products on them, this can make them worse.

the skin under your eyes is the thinnest most delicate skin on your face plus the fact that there isn't much tissue/fat under your eyes causing a darker appearance. not much anyone can do about this though I have heard of new products that supposedly thicken your skin but I have yet to try or hear if they actually work.
I've always heard that the best way to cover it up is with concealer but with light refractors in it that reflect light to lessen the appearance of dark under eye circles.
I myself am still curious to hear other remedies so good luck!

The skin is generally thinner under the eyes and so shows up the blood vessels more, hence the darkened area. The best thing to do is to drink plenty of water as this keeps the skin clear. I put a cold face cloth across my eyes sometimes. But a good remedy is Nivea anti-shadow cream used twice a day. Its not too bad, but I think it does help when you have a good night's sleep

There is really nothing else you can do between makeup and surgery. The pooling of dark fluid in the tissues are only drained by being verticle each day. Sometime compresses may light the color a little or lessen the puffiness but its only going to speed up what walking around for an hour will do.

% concealer with 'salmon colorations' to conceal bluish dark circles around the eyes. Your concealer could be some colorations lighter than your epidermis tone. I heard Maybelline, Revlon, Lise Waitier and Bobbi Brown has some nice concealers.

Use an eyecream. That's all I can say.
Maybe not. Use an eye cream, twice a day, every day, and after a month you'll see the difference. You have dark under eye circles because you have dehydrated skin. Try Dove Energy Glow, it's a brightening eye cream so it has light-reflecting particles which hide the black.
Makeup doesn't help, because your dry dehydrated eyes suck up the moisture straight away.
