Why are people ashamed of being called racist?

If you are racist, you should stop denying it and be proud. I hate cats. If you called me a cat-hater, I would be okay with that.

Then why don't I hate Mexicans that come legally and want to be American. If I am racists then I am racists against my own niece, who is half Mexican, and the legal Mexicans that are against illegal immigration are also racists. Your just terrified that if you speak your mind someone might call you a racists. Everybody on the face of the earth is racists to some degree, its human nature, everyone shows preference for their own kind. If I was racists against Mexicans I would not have fought so hard to keep the border patrol agents out of prison, they are innocent and need to be freed. They help protect this country and the justice department lied against them, to protect an illegal drug smuggler. They just showed on the news that the border patrol have caught Pakistanis, Iranians, and Arabs posing as Mexicans to get in the the U.S. We need to know who is coming across our borders. I think you want to play like you're above everyone else, and that you are not racists in the least, give me a break, everyone is to some degree.

why would you think white people are racist for hating Mexicans, but mexicans aren't racist for hating whites? and mexicans aren't even a race, there are only 4 "races" that rest are sub-races, so even "if" you do hate mexicans, you're not racist because you don't hate everyone who is "latin" which is a race. and being "antis" wouldn't make you racist, we just want to feel safe in our own country,and I don't see anything wrong with that.

I'm an anti, and I am not a Mexican hater. I resent illegals taking education funds from my children. It doesn't matter what nationality they are.

Racism is closed minded and ignorant. To call someone a racist is an insult. If you are not racist and are called a racist, you tend to be irritated.

I used to be before it became clear it was just a distraction to keep people from airing substantive viewpoints.

Well because you are WRONG!!!!! This whole thing is NOT about being "racist", it's about OUR country being able to survive, without becoming a craphole like mexico!!!

For example, take a water dam. If too much water rushes that dam, what will happen??? The dam will CRUMBLE beneath the force, and under all the weight of the water!!! It will be DESTROYED!!! And, that water, left unchecked, will destroy the land,wiping out EVERYTHING in it's path!!!

Well, THIS is what is happening to this country!!! We have a FLOOD of ILLEGALS coming to this country. They ARE using our social services,which are for the LEGAL citizens of THIS country!!! When OUR people need help, there will be NONE for them,because of the BILLIONS of our dollars being spent on people who do NOT deserve it!!!

Besides, i have family and friends who are mexican, so how am i a "racist"??? Even THEY are AGAINST the illegals, so does this make THEM "racist",even though they are of the SAME race???

i think racists would be proud of that. if i was racist toward a specific racial group i would say so. But i am not. I dont hate mexicans. I actually have hispanic blood. i do not like illegal immigration. just because someone doesnt like illegal immigration doesnt mean that they hate mexicans. Where i live there are majority hispanic and african illegals and i dont approve of any of them. I dont hate them though. I just dissaprove of what they have done.

I am angry when people call me racist because I'm NOT!!!. What is racist about wanting PEOPLE to obey our laws.

This illegal alien issue has NOTHING to do with race. It's about the LAW. I don't care if someone is someone is from Mexico, China, Canada, Peru, or Iraq. If they are here ILLEGALLY, they shouldn't be here!!!

I strongly believe that the illegal alien criminals are destroying American. They should be deported and any employer that hires them should be in jail.

If you could see my family you wouldn't think that about me. Why would I hate my own children, nieces, nephews, and cousins who are half Mexican? I helped my ex husband to become legal. Are you so full of hate yourself that that's all you are capable of seeing in others? I have seen the problems caused by massive illegal immigration. That's why I'm against it.
