Watts is perfectly fine to drive through during the day...in my own experience, anyway. Well, I'm a middle-aged woman & don't look like I'd pose a threat to anyone. Maybe there's trouble at night, I don't know; don't wanna find out. But, most homeowners from middle America couldn't even afford a house in Watts; times change, and you'd be lucky to find one of those shacks costing even as little as $100,000. Times change; money brings at least SOME extra clout for these residents.

Yes, and it's OK to drive through the major streets at night as well.....this is coming from an old fat white boy, who just drove through that neighborhood this week and made it out alive and well.

Yes, I lived there for 10 years. 94 Street and Hooper, just dont shout out gang slogans and through up your set , and you will be fine.

I have driven through many times in the daylight no problem.I wouldnt at night though.
