Initiate the process by going through fafsa.org (NOT .com...they charge like $40)
You should have been given a packet of information for this at school...you'll need various information handy to complete the forms including your drivers license, w-2s, that sort of thing.

FAFSA! I'm not sure if you know about it, but it is money from the government based on your income level, and what you can afford to pay. You have to get your taxes done first. Just be sure to meet your states deadline (PA is May 1st). If you still need money, apply for a Stafford Loan, you do not have to pay until 6 months after you graduate. Sign up for Upromise. You link your Stafford to your credit and debit cards. When you buy certain things, either in stores or online, it will deduct money that you owe from your loans. Giant and CVS are two stores that do this.
Check out FAFSA.org this will have links for everything! Good luck! I just went through this. My best advice for filling out the FAFSA, fill out the paper form first, then do the online form, it is SOO much easier!

Also go to brokescholar.com they have sooo many scholarships to apply for, it doesn't take long to register and it could help immensly.

Visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and fill it out as soon as possible. It doesn't lock you down to anything, it just allows you to see what federal aid is available. Once you determine that, you can set your budget and if necessary, you may need more money from private student loans. If that is the case, check out the comparison chart on finaid at: http://www.finaid.org/loans/privatestudentloans.phtml
I would suggest Think Financial for private student loans. They can be found at:

Good Luck

Fill out your fafsa and you also try to get private loans.
